Thrifted Treasures

My mom and I stopped in at Goodwill on our girls day out a few weeks ago.

We searched the aisles high and low for treasure.

“Are there any others,” we wondered?

No.  Just the one.

But I knew that I would think of a use for it.

And be able to give it a home in my kitchen.

And now I have a piece from a collection that I had always wanted.

Have you found any treasures lately?

Until next time,

  1. Great finds our Good Will never has anything. Maybe I always hit it at the wrong time.

  2. Fun that your mom enjoys a good day of thrifting!! Great find!
I’ve been hitting the jackpot lately myself – in fact, off to the thrift shop right now!

  3. Kelly, my Mom is my thrifting mentor. Good luck today. Can’t wait to see what you find!

  4. Cynthia, I’m finding it depends on the store. At this particular store, they had some great furniture too. I’m wishing I would have purchased one of the pieces. Oh well.

  5. I love your large platter/bowl…perfect fit for the pitcher too! I actually find good suff at the GW so I try to go at least once a week. They need to have a frequent shopper program….I’d probably be their spokesperson! LOL 🙂

  6. I’d love to go more often. I bet you have lots of treasures to show for your frequent visits. You could be the spokesperson and the guru.

  7. what a find! I know those Southern living dishes were pricy new – I have a matching canister and vase to your bowl.

  8. Yes, they were pricey, which is why I didn’t own any. But I really liked that collection and always wished I could have it.
