Do you try to follow decorating trends?    Pantone introduced Emerald Green as their color of the year, and it’s beautiful.  I can definitely see adding a vase or some small accent to bring that color into my home.  But, the bottom line for me is a creating a comfortable home that truly expresses who we are as a family.  Sometimes it can be hard to figure out how to make that happen.

Mrs. Hines Class

Today, in my first episode of “After Class with Mrs Hines,”  I’m talking with interior designers Carla Aston of Designed with Carla Aston and Cynthia Weber of A Button Tufted Life as well as home decor bloggers Amy from Atta Girl Says, Simone from HomeSpirations and Tammy from Deja Vue Designs.

  1. I’m not sure I would add a large amount of the emerald green. Perhaps some small accessory. I like a collected over time look, using things we really love, rather than going with trends. Neutral wall color, always.

  2. I’m looking forward to watching!

  3. Have fun today! Looking forward to the ideas that you all have in store for us :)

  4. I learned so much from this Sharon. First …I need to pay attention to fashion more. I am a jeans and t-shirt girl, but I see fashion in a whole different light now! I also needed to know the difference between trends and fads. I had no clue! I absolutely loved seeing all you gals. You all did wonderful…great idea Sharon…love ya!!!

  5. Hi Sharon!

This was so fun. Thanks for having me. I loved getting to meet the other design lovers and I think you are just so amazing to have this all figured out and organized! You did a great job, from the rehearsal to the session and all the links, etc.

    Thanks again!

    Carla
