Au Gratin Potato Casserole

This casserole is a favorite with crowds.
Ingredients
- 2 lb frozen hash browns (grated)
- 3/4 cups melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 10oz cheddar cheese (grated)
- 2 cups crushed corned flake
Directions

| Combine potatoes and 1/2 cup of butter in a large bowl | |

| Add salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream, cheese and blend well | |

| Pour mixture into buttered 3 quart dish | |

| mix remaining butter with crush corn flakes and sprinkle over top | |

| Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes | |

I have a similar recipe without thecornflakes – will try this one soon – looks delish!
We sometimes use fried onions for the topping. You can also use breadcrumbs.
