a little of this and a little of that

Mrs. Hines Class

Hi!  Just wanted y’all to know that I’m not in hiding.  :)

I’ve been trying to get my household organized and my health on track.  But, I have lots of plans for projects.

I bought this shelf liner the other day, but I won’t be using it for lining shelves…not exactly.  You’ll see.

I got a small start on my backyard plans …rearranging furniture and moving the bbq pit.  I had a little mishap with the bbq pit.  You can read more about that today at Live Creatively Inspired.

My next step is to get some stone to put under the bbq pit.  Well, I guess I need to pick up the bbq pit first. ;)

Speaking of grilling, I’m sharing how to get the perfectly baked potato over at A Little CLAIREification, today.

In the meantime,  JoAnn’s is having a sale, and I’m hoping to get over there in the next day or two.  I have my eye on some fabric for the living room makeover.

Speaking of sales, Sherwin Williams has 40% off of paint.  I need to make up my mind on the wall color for the living room so I can buy paint while it’s on sale.

I finally got my command center/office space organized and functional.  I just have some labeling to do.   I also have some Spring cleaning chores on my to-do list.

I’ll keep you posted as I go along.

See you in class,

Mrs. Hines

After 17 years in an elementary classroom, Mrs. Hines retired from teaching to pursue her passions: decorating, writing and homemaking. While her formal education is in teaching, she discovered her talent for design at a young age and is a self-taught decorator. Mrs. Hines' DIY spirit has earned her appearances on the show Deals which airs on the Live Well Network. She continues to teach and inspire on her popular Lifestyle blog, Mrs. Hines' Class. Homemaking is Mrs. Hines' first love. So, when she isn't decorating or writing, you can find her at home watching television with Mr. Hines or trying to keep up with her teenaged daughter.
