an invitation, bras required

When you’re hanging out at home, bras are totally optional.  And when you’re going to Wal-Mart, well, bras are optional then, too.

I will admit right here and now that I’ve been the braless lady behind you in line at Wal-Mart, but I was wearin’ my sweatshirt, and I don’t think you could tell.  The other day I came very close to being the lady who went braless and wore pajama pants and house slippers, but even I couldn’t go that far.

Now, my going to town look is usually cuter. I trade in the sweatshirt for leggings, boots and a sweater, and add a scarf.  Scarves make you look like a model, so wear a scarf.

Unless it’s summer.  There will be no scarf wearing in Texas during the summer, but I digress.

Join Mrs. Hines' Class for a little girl talk, bras optional

I usually save my goin’ to town, ( I just like using the phrase goin’ to town.  I live in town… a big, metropolitan town.   So let’s translate “goin’ to town” into what it really means; going shopping ) for Sundays because I’m already made up and dressed from church.

Yesterday after church, I ventured out to Michael’s to shop for the big Pinterest Party coming up this Sunday, February 16th.

Friends, this is something to put your bra on for!  I’d love for you to join me (both for the bra wearing and the party).  The party starts at 1:00 p.m and lasts til 4:00 p.m.   And the first 24 guests are going to receive these adorable chalkboard cards for free!

Speaking of free,  if you follow Michael’s on Hometalk  you’ll be entered to win a $100 Michael’s gift card!  Five winners will be announced on Hometalk’s Facebook page on Monday, February 17th, so keep an eye out for that.

Follow Michael's on Hometalk.com to enter to win a $100 Gift Card. And Join the Pinterest Party on February 16th! #MPinterestParty

You’ve heard me mention Hometalk here before.   I think you’d love Hometalk!  It’s an online, Home & Garden social network  where I share some of my projects, occasionally ask for advice, and get lots of inspiration.   You don’t need to be a blogger to join…just a home and garden enthusiast.

Join us for our Pinner Event this Sunday, February 16th! #MPinterestParty

Okay, so put on your goin’ to town clothes, go to Michael’s and  browse the Pinterest inspired displays , buy your craft supplies (don’t forget to print your coupon), and meet us in the classroom on Sunday!

Thanks for the heart to heart, and I’ll see you in class!

  1. Sounds like a fun time! I’m sure you’ll have a blast!~~Angela

  2. You made me laugh out loud today! Scarves are THE best aren’t they?! Plus, in certain situations they COULD hide the fact that we’re “bra”less! Ha!!

  3. You are hilarious!

  4. Angela, there may be a Michael’s Pinterest Party near you….I don’t recall off of the top of my head.

  5. You’re right! I hadn’t thought of scarves as an option for disguise…but now…. ;)

  6. Thank you, Stacey! I consider that one of the highest compliments I can receive.

  7. Ha, I have been guilty of the sweatshirt disguise, too. Have fun with your pin party! :)

  12. This was hilarious! Nothing better than taking that bra off, I sure hope everyone wears a bra at your Michaels store on Sunday, that may be distracting if not. ;) Good luck, I know you’ll do amazing! I’m gonna have to sign up for the next one at my Michaels in Kingston.

  13. Hi Sharon,
I’m still recovering from the flu, but I hope you have a blast!
    Bra or no bra! ;)

  14. Sharon, we call it “releasing the hounds” here! Hehe! I wish we had a Michael’s nearby so I could participate! It sounds like so much fun!

  15. Oh, I wish you did too!

  16. That’s the best part about working from home, isn’t it! Bras are an option, stretchy clothes are a must and the hair doesn’t have to be perfect. It is always nice to dress up though! Have fun this weekend!

  17. I have to agree…dressing up is fun!
