I hope you had an enjoyable holiday weekend.
We had family over for bbq and ended the evening watching fireworks, which were quite spectacular.
And I’ve spent a lot of time thinking this weekend too.
I have decided that I want to have at least one day on the blog that I just talk and share from the heart.
So, I’m going to set Monday’s aside for just that. No pictures required.
I’ve also decided that I need to get serious about changing some of my bad habits, like going to bed in the wee hours of the morning…when most people are rising to start their day.
…and finishing what I start. I look around my home and see abandoned projects. I am so tired of being at a stand still because of me. So this week, I am going to tackle a few of the projects that most need my attention.
Those are the plans for the “outside” of my cup. Lately I cannot get that image out of my mind…of the cup that is clean on the outside. I spend a lot of time concentrating on the outside appearances…a beautiful home, the latest in fashion…
What about the inside? That is going to require a little soul-searching and listening on my part. Even now as I pause to think, I’m picturing a dusty, empty cup on the inside. A cup that needs filling.
If the inside of the figurative cup is your soul, what does it look like today? Or in the words of a treasured friend, “How is it with your soul?”
I hope “It is well.”
See you in class,
