I’m not good with change.
It has to be my idea.
But now that school has started and we’ve settled into September, I’m gradually accepting that the sun is setting on Summer.
I’m sure that pinecones and pumpkins will eventually make an appearance, but right now I’m living in a world where seashells and acorns coincide.
Where polka dots give way to plaid
and darker, richer blues pair with brown.
Sugar Cookie replaces Thunderstorm.
Blankets are kept nearby.
And the lamp’s light substitutes for the fading sun.
Then there’s this. There is just something about the warm glow of the fireplace that comforts me.
Simple, subtle fall decor…it’s change I could get used to.
See you in class,
