Sometimes it’s the little things.
Like the other day when I was chopping and stirring and seasoning…there was this moment of surprise, just as I was I sprinkling a pinch of salt from the salt cellar into the pot, when everything was right with my world.
I was so pleased by the simple fact that the salt was within easy reach, that I was cooking for my family and that they would be home soon.
The wife, mother and homemaker in me felt so satisfied. The whole experience was like a pat on the back, telling me I was doing a good job.
All because of a little salt cellar sitting next to the stove.
And, just in case no one has told you lately, I want to tell you that you are doing a good job.
See you in class,
